In 2001, he left his homeland of Mauritius to join the team at the Hostellerie de La Briqueterie. White sandy beaches and sugar cane plantations then made way for the vineyards of Champagne. Picture-postcard scenery, just as sublime. A graduate of the catering school of his island, Kinsley arrived on mainland France with solid experience as a receptionist and activities’ leader. He rapidly adapted to his new environment. His experience in 5-star hotels and the Club Méditerrannée, along with his determination are both solid assets for an establishment wishing to develop.
Three years after joining the hotel, he was promoted to head receptionist and witnessed the establishment's rise in prestige: Relais & Châteaux, conquest of successive stars… He has a shared feeling of belonging to the large family of La Briqueterie: “I knew the first proprietors who kept the house for over 30 years, and was here when Madame Philipon arrived and gave the establishment its letters of nobility.”
Uncompromising in his notion of high-quality service, his greatest joy is to satisfy the guests - notably the many regular visitors - whom he has been delighted to welcome for nearly twenty years.
