With almost 2,000 km of signposted trails, including over 450 km of "Green Ways", Champagne is a highly-prized destination for cycling tourism. Through the "Champagne à Vélo" label, the Agency for Tourist Development in La Marne proposes many circuits on towpaths along the region's canals and rivers or old railway tracks.
Only 8 km from Épernay, the surroundings of La Briqueterie are thus easily discovered while pedalling. In fact, the capital of Champagne is the departure-point for three cycling tours: the Crown of Épernay (family circuit of 7.5 km, 25 mins.), the Western Hillsides (challenging circuit of 9.4 km, 30 mins.) and Dom Pérignon (sports circuit of 37 km, 2 hrs 15 mins.). You can also join the Marne Valley Véloroute linking Dormans to Condé-sur-Marne (V52, 45 km). Nestling between the Nature Park of the Mountain of Reims and landscapes of Champagne listed in UNESCO's World Heritage, this green path offers a wonderful combination of natural beauty and gourmet pleasures. It is also the chance to discover magnificent villages in the surrounding area (Hautvillers, Aÿ-Champagne, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ etc.). Take to your bikes!
