The story of La Briqueterie begins with love at first sight: that of Monsieur Chevrier, an architect with “Chaumières de France”, for an old brickwork, located in Vinay, on the slopes of the Marne, in the heart of the Champagne vineyards. In 1973, he built a hotel in this exceptional setting, giving birth to the Hostellerie de La Briqueterie.
But it is Alix Philipon to whom we owe its renovation. Upon her arrival in 2004, the owner, enchanted by the potential and advantages of the establishment, gradually transformed the building with taste and passion into a haven of relaxation and elegance. She was personally involved in the new decoration of the establishment, adopting authentic, charming, and elegant design.
To terminate the transformation in style, she created a spa which she named “Bulles de Détente”, with an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, relaxation room, and treatment booths. Acclaim for her work was soon to come: in 2006, the Hostellerie de La Briqueterie became a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux group, and won a fifth star in July 2012, placing the hotel in the top three establishments in the Champagne region. In the heart of a superb 7.5-acre park, La Briqueterie is a haven of peace conducive to rest and relaxation.
Flamboyant carpets, impressive chandeliers, Louis XV armchairs, and beautiful tablecloths create an intimate atmosphere complemented by sublime lighting effects.
